Paris Fashion Week has come and gone and thrown a few new and updated trends our way. Some trends contradict that of others, but show me a fashion season when that doesn’t happen. These looks wouldn’t be new if everyone did them
Here’s a few that will be making a scene this spring:
Red lips. They were here for winter too, and continue to be bang on trend whatever the season! Check out Christian Dior and Vivienne Westwood at Paris Fashion Week, Nicole Kidman at the UK premiere of “Nine” or Madonna at the New York premiere of “A Single Man”.
Depending on you budget (and bravery!) you could try Avon Ultra Colour Rich Mega Impact lipstick in Really Rosy, Max Factor Lipfinity in Frivolous, YSL Fard A Levres Rouge Pur Pure Lipstick in Star Red or Bourjois Rouge Hi-Tech LipTint in Rose Pixel.
Healthy honeyed suntans. As seen on the models at Chloe and more. Just a nice healthy post-recession glow
For a healthy glow try Versace Lights All Over Sun Glow Radiant Face and Body, Piz Buin Summer Sensation Self Tan Foam Mousse or YSL Sun Voile De Soliel Tinted Veil Tan.
Bright Colours. The idea here is that you choose nice bright bold colours, but apply them lightly so it’s not over done. Look to Emilio Pucci for inspiration!
For great colours try Barry M Dazzle Dust Eyeshadow, Avon Color Trend Eyeshadow Brights or Limited Edition Eyeshadow Shimmer Stick, Lancome L.U.C.I. Eyes Eyeshadow Duo, Helena Rubinstein Model’Eyes Eyeshadow Pallette Quad, Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Quad or Max Factor Eyeshadow.
Pale faces. Check out Alexander Mcqeen for white, sparkly, almost irridecent faces. Not sure if you need to go the whole hog on this one, but the good old “English rose” look never fails
Depending on your goal you could try Biotherm Finish Silky-Soft Loose Powder or Snazaroo face paints
Berry Lips. This is coming through with a vengence with many shades to choose form and , if desired, many a star to follow. Berry lips have been seen on everyone from Kirsten Dunst and Heidi Klum to Drew Barrymore at the Golden Globe Awards and Rihanna’s dark berry at Chanel’s Spring 2010 Show. There is a shade for everyone, but if you’re not into a heavy berry then try a little slick of berry gloss instead.
Have a look at YSL Gloss Repulpant in Glossy Plum, Bourjois Rouge Pop Chic Lipgloss in Prune Glycero, Avon SpectreColor Lipstick in The Wines (6 colours in 1!), Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Gloss in Brilliant Berry or Avon Ultra Colour Rich Mega Impact lipstick in Personified Plum or Devined Wine.
Nude Faces. The key to this look defined features. Work on your shading and highlighting to show off what you have and create what you don’t No lip gloss, no mascara !
Check out Blush Cosmetics for great offers on trend setting colours and named brands, or head to Avon for the new offers and products.
